About Bishopsgate
Bishopsgate is a major thoroughfare stretching
Gracechurch St at its most southern point and going right up
to the edge of Shoreditch. Its name derives from a gate that
was built by the Romans in the protective London Wall.
It's well served by shops - including a Tesco
Metro - and has an entrance onto Liverpool St
Station. Outside of work, you'll find fantastic eateries and wine
bars plus have access to first class gyms and shops.
In 1993, an IRA bomb went off on Bishopsgate and
destroyed St Ethelburga's church, which has since been
rebuilt and restored.
Bishopsgate provides office space for huge
companies like Deutsche Bank and ABN Amro. It will
also be the home of a huge new skyscraper - the
Bishopsgate Tower - offering thousands of square ft
of new office space.
